Join Whatcom Conservation District, E-Farms, and Puget Sound Energy for a hands-on field day on electric farm equipment and on-farm energy savings.
This event is geared toward commercial operations:
Try out electric tractors, UTVs, and pickup trucks.
Learn about incentives and grants for going electric.
Hear first steps and considerations for pairing electric equipment with solar and battery storage.
The day will include coffee and donuts with short talks, a mid-day ride-and-drive with info booths, and a Q&A over provided lunch.
You’ll hear from speakers from Spark Northwest, Puget Sound Energy, Cascadia Renewables, and E-Farms on topics like:
REAP grants reopening
NRCS support for switching to electric (practice 372)
PSE incentives for agricultural electrification
We’ll also touch on how batteries, bidirectional trucks, and smart controls might help farms store power, reduce peak costs, and add a bit more resilience during outages —framed around what works (and what doesn’t) on real farms.
Ride and drive opportunities will be available for:
Polaris Ranger XP Kinetic Ultimate Electric Utility Vehicle (A premium electric UTV lots of power and torque.)
Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Pickup Truck (An all-electric version of America’s top-selling vehicle in the U.S. Comes with extended range and heavy tow package, and bidirectional charging.)
Monarch MK-V Electric Tractor (40-70hp tractor with up to 14 hours of runtime. Comes with bi-directional charging.)
