Deschutes SWCD’s Irrigation Water Technology & Management Field Day
On June 13th, 2026 was the last Irrigation and Water Management (IWM) Field Day hosted by the Deschutes Soil Water Conservation District (SWCD), which was part of their 2-month-long webinar course. “This course is ideal for farmers, ranchers, irrigation professionals, agricultural educators, and anyone involved in land and water stewardship in Central Oregon.”- Deschutes SWCD.
The third and final Field Day was held in Terrebonne, OR, at a ranch where attendees were able to get hands-on experience with various types of irrigation and hear from the landowners. The ranch utilized wheel lines, pivots, pods, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for the irrigation as well.
