Wy’East’s Newest Partnership - EVmath.org

Wy’East RC&D has recently partnered with co-founders Steve Gutmann and Mark Jacobs to support the launch of EVmath.org. This website is a rural-focused, electric vehicle (EV) awareness campaign aimed at helping people in rural areas understand the savings they could get by switching to an electric vehicle.

This project is backed by Portland General Electric and many other regional partners, supporting this initiative to speak to everyday drivers in a way that resonates with them. EVmath.org is designed to accelerate the adoption of EVs in rural America—funded primarily through the Rural Climate Partnership and Portland General Electric, Oregon’s largest electric utility.

This campaign selected 10 rural Oregonian trailblazers to share their stories and why they love their EV. These folks live a wide variety of lives—from an organic farmer, to a veterinarian, to a ranch mom, to an accountant, to an executive director at a non-profit. And they drive a wide variety of EVs—Tesla Model Y, Chevy Bolt, Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian, and the list goes on. What they share is a love of their EVs—especially the cost savings. Collectively, they’re saving over $38,000 per year in fuel costs.

Check out EVmath.org. The website features a simple, user-friendly cost savings calculator, an FAQ page, interviews with these trailblazers, and access to an EV expert for help.
